At the grocery store buying some bacon

Bacon anyone? Bacon is all the rage for humans and dogs these day and now I have heard that there will even be a bacon shortage! I mean really can things get any worse?  I love bacon and I love to cook, so bacon and I are a natural pair!

I went up the road to my neighborhood grocery store to get myself some bacon the other day – boy, the price is already going up! I could only afford one package!  I really like shopping at my neighborhood store

because it is close and since I am short they have carts that are just my size.  I have tried shopping with the large carts and boy is that a mess! I can’t see where I am going and I end up knocking everything off the shelves in the aisles because I keep crashing into them!  These little carts are pretty nifty and I don’t end up making nearly the amount of mess!  The only thing I don’t understand is why they have a flag that says customer in training because us short ones are not in training but that is not really important!

Get that bacon all nicely fried in the pan

What I have decided to make today is a simple bacon sandwich.  I really could just skip the bread but mom says it is not a sandwich if you just have a pile of bacon.  First I have to get all my supplies out, the bread, mayo, maybe peanut butter the bacon, a frying pan and a spatula.  Baking is kind of tough sometimes because everything smells so good but I tell you, making bacon is almost a torture.  I have to lay all those nice smelling strips in my pan and put them on the stove to fry.  Making bacon is super

easy, any pet can do it if you can keep yourself from eating the uncooked bacon.

So it is in the pan, on the stove, it starts cooking, it starts smelling so nice and you start drooling…keep some paper towels handy for these instances.  When it seems done on the one side you have to flip it over and do the other side but that goes much faster.

Have your human take the hot pan off the stove for you as the hot bacon grease is

I can’t wait, I am digging in now!!!

dangerous and you don’t want to burn yourself as it would hurt and you would end up at the vet rather than eating a bacon sandwich.

Take out 2 slices of bread, spread one side with mayo, peanut butter or both and lay on on a plate, stack the bacon on top and then put the other slice on top.

There you have it, a bacon sandwich!  How yummy and simple is that!
